Fairy Tale Dance

Ages 3-4:  This program is a creative movement class for very young children introducing them to the Fairy Tale Ballets.  Props, story telling & videos will be used as teaching tools.  
 

Ballet I

Age 5-7 : This program is designed to introduce the student to dance through creative movement concepts. Students will learn to pointe their toes and have fun. This class meets once weekly for 1 hour.
 

Ballet II

Ages 6-8 : A continuation of the above program with introduction to the standard ballet syllabus. This class meets once weekly for 1 hour.
 
 

Pre-Professional Divisions:

RSB offers a Professional Division geared toward the more serious student, beginning at age eight. Lessons are offered in Ballet Technique, Pointe, Floor Barre, Classcial Variations, Modern, Choreography and our annual Summer Ballet Program.  This program is designed to train the student for a versatile career in dance, as well as providing those not seeking careers in dance a quality dance education.

Placement in the Pre-Professional Division program is by audition only.

 

Ballet III / IV

Ages 8 and above: This is when serious ballet training begins. Careful attention to proper feet, arms and body placement is very important. This class will consist of Ballet Technique, Floor Barre and Choreography and will meet two-three times per week for 1 ½ hours per session.  It takes approximately 2 years in this Level before the student is ready for the next division.

Junior A/B/C Program

Ages 10 and above. A pre-professional program consisting of Floor Barre, Ballet Technique, Pre-Pointe, Pointe Technique, Modern, Classical Variations and Repertory. This program meets three to four times per week for approximately 6 - 8 hours per week.
 

Senior A/B/C Program

Age 12 and (with a minimum of 2 years on pointe). A pre-professional program consisting of Floor Barre, Ballet, Pointe Technique, Classical Variations, Modern, and Repertory. This program meets daily.

Open Classes

Any student is welcome to study at RSB in the class level that is appropriate for their level of training. This will be determined through a placement class and priced accordingly.
