PA PITTSBURGH B&O PASSENGER STATION WITH AN ELEGANT L&N OBSERVATION CAR. BUILT BY PULLMAN STANDARD IN 1926, PICKED UP BY L&N IN 1948, CONVERTED TO BUSINESS CAR 364 IN 1952. CAR BECAME A PRIVATE CAR IN 1972 AND WAS NAMED THE OHIO RIVER IN 1983.

LITTLE COULD I HAVE GUESSED THAT THE PAINT SCHEME THAT NS CAME UP WITH WOULD BE EVEN WORSE. HAPPILY, THE LEAD UNIT WOULD SEE BRIGHTER DAYS. IN 197, IT WAS PAINTED INTO BRIGHT ECONO RAIL COLORS AND WORKED AT A REFINERY NEAR HOUSTON, TEXAS.
